Case study of a patient treated for skin conditions at Q&D Acupuncture

A female aged 26, her first visit was on the of April 2002, complaining of severe 3rd itching and scratching of the skin on the back of her neck and upper right arm for 10 years. She has been awakened at nights by severe itching. Examination revealed that the skin on her neck was thicker and had a leathery texture with scratching marks. She was treated with Western medicine in the past years, with no improvement in her symptoms. It was diagnosed as Neurodermatitis. After two courses of Acupuncture treatment within three months, her skin has completely recovered.
